There are employer sponsored, 2-year and 4-year temporary visas, and employer nominated permanent visa options available.

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (subclass 482)

Subclass 482  is a temporary visa which allows the holder to live in Australia, while working full-time for the sponsoring employer, in the nominated position. Applicants for this visa may include dependent family members in their application.

Investor Stream 188B

You ​need to have at least AU$2.5 million net personal and business assets for the last 2 financial years. You have directly managed either a business in which you had at least 10% ownership or a eligible investment of at least AU$2.5 million for 1 out of the last 5 financial years. In addition, you need to have at least 3 years' experience in direct involvement in managing businesses or investments. You will need to make your designated investment of at least AU$2.5 million as requested by the State or Territory that nominates you and hold the investment for the period of your provisional visa. With this visa, you can stay in Australia for up to 5 years. After you have been living in Australia for 2 out of the last 3 years, you can apply be a permanent resident with your family.

Significant Investor Stream 188C

You will be required to invest at least AU$5 million in a complying Australian investment for the period of your provisional visa. The investment will include at least AU$1 million in venture capital and growth private equity funds which invest in start-ups and small private companies, at least AU$1.5 million in approved managed funds and at least AU$2.5 million in Australian managed funds with certain restrictions. With this visa, you can stay in Australia for up to 5 years with your family. After holding the required investment for 4 years and have been living in Australia for at least 160 days out of last 4 years (or your spouse has been living in Australia for at least 720 days out of the last 4 years), you can apply to be a permanent resident with your family.

Entrepreneur Stream 188E

You must be nominated by a State or Territory Government agency. With this visa, you can stay in Australia for up to 5 years. After you can demonstrate a successful record of business activity in Australia, have lived in Australia for at least 2 years and have held your 188 visa continuously for 3 years, you can apply be a permanent resident with your family.
